1. Outline
"MyApp" is a template for building a Basic4ppc application.

Please appreciate that this software assumes familiarity with Pocket PCs.

The software is supplied as-is. The author does not warrant that this software (including its related data files) is accurate or complete, and disclaims liability whatsoever for all and any damage, injury and/or loss (whether direct or indirect, consequential or economic) caused or suffered as a result of use of or reliance on this information.

The author prohibits distribution of this software on third party web sites or in any other form without prior consent.

The application is designed for Pocket PCs with "Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0" or later installed. The desktop version is for Windows with "Microsoft .NET framework 2.0." or later installed, however, the screen design (including fonts) is optimized for Pocket PCs. MyApp is written in and compiled with Basic4ppc.

2. Getting Started
At first startup the Settings screen will be presented for entering initilization data.

3. Main Screen
The main screen is the place where MyApp performs.

4. Menus
4.1. File
4.1.1. About
Shows the typical About message, including version, author, development environment and credits.

4.1.2. Help
Launches this Help File in the Internet Explorer.

4.1.3. Download CAB
When online tap here to launch the Internet Explorer to download the CAB installer file for the Pocket PC. This is useful for updating MyApp or for keeping a copy of the installer in a storage card.

4.1.4. Settings
Provided to enter program parameters.

4.1.5. Exit
Exits MyApp after confirmation.

4.2. Data
This menu will contain selections for future MyApp functions.

4.2.1. Show Data
Displays the data in Settings.

4.3. System
These functions work with the Pocket PC only and are disabled on the desktop.

4.3.1. Minimize
Minimizes the screen and returns to the Today screen of the Pocket PC. Tap on the program icon to return to MyApp.

4.3.2. Force Backlight ON
Upon selection it keeps the backlight on, upon deselection or program exit backlight control is returned to the system settings of the device.
