I'll wager the states have the most users of B4a.

Would be interesting to know.

My other favourite BASIC, Gambas has a clustrmap on their website. Not reliable but an indication. Also probably skewed because Gambas is Linux only.

But anyway, The European Union generates about three times the traffic of the US.

I hear from the publishing company that they're almost ready to go with an Australian edition of this, and I think it's being licensed in some other territories too, so people outside the UK may see it appearing in bookstores too.

I have no idea what changes in the Australian edition; I imagine it must be mostly anything where I've mentioned prices. I can't think what else were was that might have been too UK-specific.

I picked a copy of this up today in WHSmiths in Bicester. They had 3-4 copies on the shelf.

After a really initial skim read it looks good and reads well, good job.

I'll try and read through it in earnest over the next few days and weeks.

Thinking about this, I would post a photo of the front cover - it may well help people on here to locate the magbook on the shelves - you might need to clear it with Erel first, although I don't think he'd have a problem with this.

I just want to say I happened across this magazine while in Gatwick airport as I was off on holiday a few weeks ago. It was a spur of the moment buy but I am so glad I did, i have been wanting to develop apps for a while but found the learning curve quite steep with other applications.

I finally sat down to try out some examples this weekend and with the aid of the magazine and forums I was up and running an app in no time at all, I have just purchased a licence with the discount code provided in the magazine.

Excellent work on the magbook :)

Basic4Android is the simplest solution I have found and hope to be creating more apps in the coming months.

My guess would be no, unless you find a specialist that carries things like that. I'm not sure if there will be translated versions for some of the european markets, but I'll try to find out and let you know.

Huuuuraaa!!! yesterday finally I found it in my postbox:)

Great; I hope you enjoy it - and please do let me know what you think

Sure, I'll do it later because I have a lot to do at work. At the moment only some words after short browsing your book and reading until chapter "Debugging":

Thanks for your great work! I think your book closes the the gap between the B4A forum, B4A documentation and the B4A book by Wyken Seagrave. Up to now I want to say it's very(!!) helpful for beginners and also for people like me, who have done the first steps in B4A.

Best regards - Peter

Hi,

Congratulations = Well done. Easy to read, nice style, lots of tips and very helpful to get back to B4A after doing quite a bit of B4J :).

This book is a must for all beginners.

To note: ordered a copy via Amazon UK and received a week later in Hamburg Germany.

Thanks for the effort and keep up with the good work!
Rob
