There are a few examples on the forum of to how to use various libraries as clients for video streams or playing physical video files.
I am looking for a method of using the device as a monitor for a video camera. I have seen examples elsewhere where the mini HDMI output from a camera is fed to a HDMI to USB capture dongle. What happens after that remains a mystery to me but I wish to write my own display client.
What protocol arrives at the USB C port? What do you need to do with the signal? What is the best view to display the result?
Many thanks
Edited to add: It appears that an OTG adapter is also required between the capture dongle and the device to make this work as a USB camera.
