GCM push

Hello everyone

I am sending push messages to my application via gcm. My problem is with when the application is force closed from the task manager. If the phone is running 2.3, the phone automatically runs the application again but if the phone is running 4.1.2 the application stays closed and nothing happens. Do I need to do something special for android 4 for it to work like 2.3?

The intent filter should still work even if the process is killed. This means that future messages should still be intercepted.
