I'm not a big fan of desktop installers for mobile device programs, first because they leave traces on the desktop even for programs not ment to be run on the desktop, but also because installing from the mobile device via a .cab file is so easy that you can even download the program and install it directly from the device's browser.

That said, I can create a cab file for installing on a Pocket PC easily with cabwiz but such a cab won't install on a Smartphone, even if the executable included in the cab is for the Smartphone platform.

I've seen a few programs out there where the same cab installs on both PPC and Smartphone so I guess the cab file contains both executables. It'd be cool to learn how to create such a .cab file but at the very least, how do I create a .cab file specific to the Smartphone?
