Default Twain image acquisition library

This desktop only library lets you acquire images from scanners, cameras and other devices that have a Twain driver installed on the desktop.

I also have a WIA (Windows Imaging Architecture) library that can acquire from devices with a WIA driver installed. However there seems little point in posting it as, on my desktop at least, the WIA devices are all visible in the Twain selection dialog and appear to work fine. Also where a device has both a Twain and a separate WIA interface, such as my Epson scanner, the Twain interface appears to enable more user control of the scanning process.

Library, help, demo and source for merging included in the archive.

The easy answer is if the device appears in the Twain Select dialog! When you installed your scanner software then it certainly installled a Twain or a WIA driver so that applications can interface to it. For a recent camera, under Vista at least, I think Vista provides a default driver - it seems to for my Canon 950IS.
