Default Award was given to klaus

About one year ago we had our first coding competition.
The goal was to create an Icon Editor.
Nobody has succeeded with creating a full functional application at that time.

klaus has just recently completed a great multi-language Icon Editor and therefore receives our second code competition award.

Hi folks,

I would like to thank you very much for the award and for your nice words, I feel really honored by the B4PPC community.
I did not write the program for any competition, at that time I was too new to Basic4PPC.

I joined the forum in october 2007, about the time when the Calculator competition was launched.
My first program in B4PPC was a RPN calculator, to become familiar with B4PPC.

The Icon Editor was my 3rd program. I wrote it as a tool for my own use and I am satisfied when others use it. But it was also a challenge for me to see what can be done, and what I could do with B4PPC.
It was quite interesting, I had to learn how icon, bitmap and cursor files are organized and saved and go back to basic graphic principles.

A few words about me. I am a mechanical engineer, now retired. I have been programming with Basic for a long time now as a hobby but mainly for my job, I began on a Comodore 3032, then Atari 1040 (private with GFA Basic) and HP 9836 (at my job with HP Basic) then on PC's
with GW Basic, Quick Basic and all Visual Basic versions. The programs a have writen were always tools to try to make 'life easier'.

My special thanks go to:
Erel for B4PPC, his excellent support and the examples.
Adrew (agraham) for the floodfill routine and his excellent support.
Dimitris (dzt) for the dzImage library.
Robert (alfcen) for the Japanese texts.
Fillipo for the Italian texts.
kyto for the Spanish texts and help file.
Paulo (Cableguy) for the Portuguese texts.

Once more thank you all very much and Best regards.
