It would be nice to be able to programmatically change the menu structure of programs during runtime, as a consequence of user actions (like being able to add new elements). If we xere able to tally hide some menu items in the actual system, we could get away with by adding enough items from the beginning it but the only possibility seems to disable a menu item (its is than grayed out but visible in the menu).
