Hi,
Using Erel's file association example i've managed to associate the ini files with my app.... I'm only lacking the Icon association of the files... I have an .ico file wich I want to associate to the files, but I cant get it to work.. Any help will be apreciated.

Also I've tried this myself and I also couldn't get it to work with ico files,
but it did work with the exe file similar to the lnk files : 34#"\Path\To\Exe.exe?\path\to\icon.exe, -1" where -1 is the place of the icon... To check the numbers i used Rviewer If you want to use the same icon for your app and the ini files you can just point it to the exe file with the -1 otherwise you might want to try including the ini.ico into the exe and search for the location using Rviewer... Hope it helps btw. i've attached a screenshot from my phone as you can see the ico is linked from B4PPC |

I downloaded it and instaled it but i don't understand it...
I browse for the exe, and it does show me the icon contained, but if I hit next, I get some diferent values, and NO indication of their meaning. ie, basic4ppc icon is referenced in the regestry as 32512, but when I use the rviewer in it, I get all sort of in beetwen values... Must I try them all? EDIT: I finaly got it to work... I went to the developers website, and found there an iconslib.dll file wich contained the icon I need, and got it working... It was like shooting an ant with a cannon, but at least the ant is dead, and i've learned something as well..
