Yes, Notepad++ is nice, and if you open a basic4ppc .sbp file and identify it as a VB file, the color coding is a nice touch.

Another really good one is PFE Program File Editor I use it at work but tracking it down is near impossible as I've had a quick scourer of the Internet and only found reference to it, no downloads as it is now obsolete.

The Program File Editor can be found here:

but the last version 1.01 is from 1999 and the editor is not developed any more...

I could only find broken links to the Lancaster University site, kept getting a page missing error.
