Unhappy How to add an external library?

Hello, I would like to ask for some help how to use an external library in basic4ppc desctop. I think, I am doing everything correctly.
1. Go to Tools menu
2. Go to Components
3. Click on "DLL". Dialog opens asking for the library dll. I select for example controlsex.dll. After that I receive the message that dll was copied to the basic4ppc folder. The controlsex dll is now displayed in the components screen.
4. I click OK button and exit the "Components" screen. I am back to the main application screen.
Now, if I understand correctly I have to go to "Tools" / "Add object" menu to create the object, however "Add object" menu item is unavailable. So no metter what I try, the "Add object" is always unavailable.
I am not sure, what I am doing wrong. Looks like I am missing some step, however can not figure out what.
Would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Erel, After adding the dll to both desctop and device the "Add object" became available and I could use it. Thanks so much!
