Default Outlook library and contacts list

Hello. This is my first posting having only discovered Basic4ppc 1 week ago. Very impressed so far.

Anyhow, my problem ..

I am working with a "Contacts" collection and the Outlook library but I only seem to see a subset of the contacts (those that originated from the SIM) and not all of the contacts that are seen by Windows Mobile 6 "Contacts" (having come via ActiveSync).

I can read, update and write back successfully. My changes are seen in the regular contacts list but I can't get to all the entries only the SIM originated ones.

It almosts looks like there are 2 contacts databases on the device.

Any advise gratefully received.

Thanks

There are in fact two databases. The main contacts list and the SIM contacts.
The Outlook library only works with the main contacts list (not the SIM contacts).

Thanks Erel. Absolutely spot on.

I had it back to front. I was indeed manipulating the Outlook contacts and the rubbish I was seeing in the PDA's display of Contacts included the junk on the SIM card.

Cleared the SIM card and everything is working correctly.

Nice one.
