Retrieve free space

Hi guys,
how can I retrieve the free space of my Main Memory (RAM) or my storage cards ("SD Card" / "iPAQ File Store") ?

The quick glib banswer is that RAM is reclaimed when your program exits and storage when you delete files! This is probably not what you meant so can you amplify the reason behind your question?

uh, sorry, my question is easy to missunderstand:

I actually ment how can I get the value (in e.g. MB / kb) of the actual free available space of the ram or storage cards?
And how can I get the total available amount of the ram/a storage card?

This is also something I'd like to know..

the only workaround would be to search for all files and check the
size, then then add them all together.
but this seems a bit too much, there must be an easier way

I also thought about that, but then theres still the question how to get the actual total space of a memory device available

I know this functionality is in the OpenNetCF but it is not usable in its current form..
I already tried making a usable dll out of it, but i was not really successfull
i don't get any data back

If anyone wants to take a crack at it... please be my guest
