Default Fixed Point Math

Good day. I would like to know if I have to worry about fixed point math with Basic4ppc or are all calculations converted to integer based on compilation.

Also since the next version will be a required update for me, is there a certain time frame as to when it will be released? Will there be a quick minor update before a major one? Thanks.

Arithmetic calculations in the IDE and compiled applications is done with double types numbers (64 bit).

Next release date is still unknown. Note that you do receive free upgrades for one year or three years (enterprise version).

But if that's true, doesn't that mean programs will be slow on mobile devices as they don't have an FPU(Floating Point Unit)? Maybe Basic4ppc does something a little different to speed things up?

By the way I'll be buying the Enterprise version seeing how many updates there were to the program in 2007. This doesn't seem like vaporware to me.

That depends on your specific program.
You can also use a custom external library if you have intensive calculations.
