Default True colors images and imagebuttons?

I took quite some time making a cool UI for my stopwatch only to discover they didn't show up in true colors on the device. Is there a way to change this?

Bitmap (since PNG didn't work), 65k.

It was flawless on Vista but not on the device (HTC TyTN, WM6)

Try jpg or GIF, work quite good...And gif does support alpha channel...

It could be that your bitmap image included only 65k colors but some are different than the colors supported by mobile devices.
