How to set the version of a compiled file ? while in properties it always shows the version of compiled .exe file .

Installing EXE files

I have written an application that runs as an EXE from a folder along with a couple of DLLs. Can anyone tell me how I can create an installer and/or also how do I create an ICON so that the application can be lauched from the ICON in programs? Thanks in advance - Steve

You can create an installer with the SetupBuilder Basic4ppc - Windows Mobile programming and Pocket PC Development

You can add an icon in the IDE in the menu File/Choose icon.

And finally - I guess this is the mother of all problems. I wish to
distribute this appliaction. I'm not trying to make money but would
prefer certain people not to get hold of it. Does anyone know the
best way of protecting the software from copying? I guess the only
real way is to lock the application to the device ID?
