Connecting to the internet

When on a device I launch Internet Explorer and I try to enter on a site, if device is NOT conect to the internet yet the connect window is called automatically by IE. How can I do the same on a basic4ppc application. Im using FTP to send tome files over the internet when a use click on command button, but if not connected I get an error and that window is not called automatically. I need help because all the time my customers need to use my program they need to enter IE and try to connect o a site :P

What type of connection are you using? GPRS?
You could try to load a web page using the HTTP library. It should automatically start the default connection.
