Default GPS Library Example

Hi Erel,
i used your GPS example on my Ppc, a HP Hw6915 with Windows Mobile 5, but i have no data in the listbox : it's blank!
I started my TomTom (to activate the gps) and then your example : same thing! Why?
Can you tell me another proof to testing my gps with b4ppc? Thanks.

Did you set the port number to your GPS port?
What messages does you see?

In the key 'GPS Intermediate Driver->Drivers->Control Panel Configureted Device' i have this :

Baud : 57600
CommPort : COM7
Interface Type : COMM

My port is 7?

In the TomTom settings there is his :

BaudRate : 57600
ComPortNumber : 7
Force : 0

I tryed with 7 and all work fine!!!!!!!!
There is a way to detect via software the right port?
If i use a cicle to testing all the ports it's a right thing to do?

You can read the ports description from the registry:
http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/showt...ports+registry

It is possible to open each port and check for data.
I don't recommend using this method as opening invalid ports may hang the device.
