Default starter question Re interface

Forgive me for a basic basic question ....
So Im programing - already done the 'hello world!' but I have only the top half of the screen to write in. Underneath that there is a window which takes up about a quarter of the screen (above the virtual keyboard)- nothing in it, and I cant get rid of it!
Whats that for?

I understand you are talking about the device IDE.
This is the SmartHelp field.
It shows the syntax for most of the keywords.
You can remove it by selecting Tools - Interface - SmartHelp.
I recommend you to keep it especially in the beginning.

Thanks - so how do I get SMARTHELP to show me the format, Ive tried typing a command in there, & tried highlighting a keyword in the upperwindow - but it didnt do anything?

One more question - how do I add a dll library? are they included already on the PocketPC app, or do you have to active sync them accross?
For example Ive found the GPS dll library in the PC version, do I need to copy it accross to the PDA if I want to use it in programming on there, if so where shall I move it to, and do I have to tell Basic4PPC that the librarys been added somehow?

About the SmartHelp: just write msgbox( and you should see the description.
The dll libraries are not installed on the device.
You can copy them using activesync.
This thread should help you: http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/code-samples-tips/38-best-folder-your-source-code.html
And also see the GPS tutorials: http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/tutorials/
