Default Problem with compiling

Hi All,

I have a problem with compiling for device. I don't use optimized compiling, but when i compile i get an error.

Error compiling program:
Toegang tot het pad C:\Program files\Anywhere Software\Basic4ppc
Desktop\Icondata.dat is geweigerd.

This is dutch for " Access to path C:\........dat is refused."

I have already removed and reinstalled b4ppcv6.8 but the same problem exists.

Thanks

If you are running windows vista, then you sould place the program (source and executable) under My Documents rather than the default Program Files. Try this and see if it helps.

No, What I meant was that you must save your program under My Documents and not under the Basic4ppc folder. For some security reasons, the Program Files folder is unaccessible on Vista.

You will need to run Basic4ppc as an administrator.
Open Basic4ppc folder: c:\program Files\Anywhere Software\Basic4ppc Desktop
Right click on Basic4ppc Desktop.exe and choose Run As Administrator.

You can also reinstall Basic4ppc in a folder under My Documents.
BTW, why don't you use the optimized compiler?

In my application i use a msgbox for info to the user. Depending on the decision of the user (he presses ok or cancel) i continue.

When i use optimized compiling i get an error on this line. At this moment i don't have much free time to find out whats the problem, and with non optimized compiling my program runs. Maybe later i ask this great forum for help.

Thanks anyway,

Greetings from Holland
