Lightbulb bigger menu

Hi!
I´m trying to create a small app that is mainly used with the fingers instead of the stylus. So I want to provide a menu that fills the entire screen. I´ve seen this in a commercial app and I would like to replicate the behavior.

I was thinking to go with panels but I'm not sure its the best way since the menu allows the user to move to another menu item with the navigation hardware key, and I think that it won't be easy to replicate that behavior with the panels.

Any suggestions?

btw. the commercial app mentioned above is the spb mobile shell

Hi,

I've accieved something similar just with forms and buttons.
Works fine with navigation keys.

Thumbs up

sounds like a good idea, thanks, I'll give it a try... but I guess it will lack the highlight on the currently selected item.

It doesn't have to lack the highlight for the selected item, just change the background colour.
I did something similar in one of the other threads using a panel and labels, the panel is only visible when selected using the hardware keys. The thread and file can be found here... http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/questions-windows-mobile/573-menu-handling-hardware-keys.html
