How to identify each pocketpc differently

In some pocketpc programs I saw something like MKID or IMEI or hardware key that is unique for each pocketpc, how can I get that id so my program knows who is who.

or can I simply get the device name?

I make use of hareware.dll to GetDeviceID. I guess it is unique for each pocketpc but I can not prove it, and the returned string is nothing like I saw in other software.

Any hints?
