Default Application requires Microsoft.Net/v2.0.50727

Hi,

I am a bit confused here. From the previous discussion, I was told that if I were to run the application in XP, I need to have .Net 2.5 and above. At the moment, my unit is running with .NET 3.5 , however, when I try to run the application. It gives me error saying the the file .NET 2.0.5073 is corrupted. The file that it requist is Microsoft.Net/v2.0.50727.

Does anyone know about this??

Thanks.

Are you sure about the numbers? There is no version 2.5 of .NET, do you mean 3.5? I don't recognize 2.0.5073 as a valid version number. .NET 2.0 on the desktop is v2.0.50727.

If you look in \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework you can see some folders named with the versions of .NET that are installed on the computer. My Vista machine has six versions installed

v1.0.3705
v1.1.4322
v2.0.50727
v3.0
v3.5
v4.0.30319

As long as you have v2.0.5072 or any of the later ones installed Basic4ppc should work.

Thanks for your reply, Agraham.

Sorry for the typo, what I meant is V2.0. Not V2.5. As for 5073,
this is what it is printed from Window Error, but, it meant v2.0.50727.

Is it necessary to have all these versions installed for B4PPC to run?
v2.0.50727
v3.0

If I were to only have v3.5 installed, would B4PPC application still work?

if .NET 2.0 is installed Basic4ppc will run under that even if other versions are installed. If .NET 2.0 is not installed then Basic4ppc will run under the latest installed version. You will not be able to see the difference.
