Default Load time

I have Windows XP SP2 and 256 mb ram with a 800 Mhx processor.
Not the latest!!
It takes my computer 1 minute 36 seconds to load the Basic4PPC program.

Is this normal?

I have a core 2 duo running at 1,8Ghz with 2048MB Ram and stil takes about 20 sec just to get a glimp at the IDE, but then cames the endless hours of fun, coding, foruing, etc...

PS: I'd like to emphatise the 20sec on a cre2 du with 2048MB, but its just hard....

It is amazing that you can run XP SP2 with 256M memory?

Check you available memory.

You may try to add more virtual memory if you have fast hardisk, or add ram if there exists, or shut off all applications except basic4ppc.

I use less than 5 seconds to start up the basic4ppc in my P4 1.5Mhz + 1.5G ram T42 notebook.

Thanks for those figures on your systems.

It shows my old system is not up to speed for this app.

There is 82,320 avail memory of the 266,000 before loading b4ppc
and after loading there is only 57456 available.

I have turned off some services and other progs to make the 265 workable on this computer.

Looks like I need install on my pentium4 2.8 box.
