Default Very slow IDE since B4PPC Ver 5

Hello all,

since the update for B4PPC Ver. 5 my desktop IDE is very slow. When keying words, the letters appear with appr. 1 letter /second on my monitor.
Is there any way to speed up the IDE?

(I am working on an older machine with Win ME)

The new IDE should be much faster than the old one, especially for large files.
What are your hardware specifications?

The low memory probably slows down the IDE.
Not much can be done, you could work in an external editor and add the code as text file (Components - Add Code File).

I expanded my RAM to 384 MB, but without any noticeable effect.
Currently i work with the older B4PPC version 5.0, which provides a reasonable performance.

That's incorrect. He said "When keying words, the letters appear with appr. 1 letter /second on my monitor."
Even if he had 64MB... it still wouldn't slow the typing of letters with 1 letter/second, you shoudl know better.
