Jupiter Moons

Hi gang,

For those of you in to astronomy and out at night hunting the Galilean moons of Jupiter, this tool might come in handy.

Mokusei (Japanese for Jupiter) simulates the motions of the Galilean satellites and provides static and dynamic data about this mini solar system.

Mokusei is future shareware with a 15-days trial period. The registration key is probably not too difficult to find.

There is no manual yet. If you can tap yourself through the application, then the user interface is intuitive, if you can't, I will need to do some more homework.

If there is anybody out there in the forum with a Celestron NexStar telescope, please get in touch with me. I have developed Bluetooth enabled HC Ver 4.12 control software (in B4PPC) with a large astronomical database of GoTo objects and would need a beta tester.

Hey alfcen, that's a really nice program! I am a big astronomy addict with my 4 scopes and writing some astronomy programs as well.......
At the moment I am writing some solar system software which translates in different scales to get a grasp of the wideness of the system. I was thinking of translating JupSat pro into B4PPC but you beat me to it and I must say much better then I could....

Hi Marc,
Thanks a lot for your kind words. I just checked out JupSat (Pro). It looks professional but demands graphic power which is unavailable to the Pocket PC. Anyway, I found that Mokusei covers most of the functions presented by JupSat Pro.

Hi Robert,
That is also a nice program! I wrote a similar one for my Dobson 8" 10 years back on my Psion. I build the thing myself including the mirror.
I'd like to try out your program further as I am motorizing my Dob right now. My Bresser 150/1000 is motorized but I'd like to computerize the scope further. My other scopes are smaller. I am thinking of buying a Celestron 9.25 in the autumn.
What is your native language by the way?
