Bug? [Board selector] error

More information please. Are you using B4R v4.00 with Arduino IDE v2.0?

I am using B4R v4.00 with Arduino IDE v2.0
I am having the same problem.
i am reinstalling B4r. I try to do a board select and the error pops up.

An error occurred.
An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details.

Could it be the java version ? Mine would only run with java 14 ( as per the download instructions ).

You are correct!
There is no javac in Arduino 2.

Attached is a step by step Path Configuration "gif"
I don't know what is going on.
These step are repeatable, it changes the path every-time????
I have uninstalled B4r and the other files several times.
Same results.

after you have set the path you must confirm with the OK button

If you can't see the buttons (happened in the beta version I seem to recal), just make the window bigger (drag bottom edge down)
