No emulator running

I installed the java SDK, Android SDK, B4Android as in the instructions.
I set the paths in the B4A IDE.
Tried to install the emulator but:
After having clicked on Create AVD I get the message that the emulator is created.
After clicking on OK, nothing happens anymore, there is no emulator running.
Loading the GuessMyNumber program.
Compiling it I get the message that there is no emulator running.
Clicking Tools/Restart ADB Server has no effect.

My labtop is running Windows XP SP3.
Internet Security Kasperski 2010, I had to disable it to install Android SDK.
B4PPC works perfectly.

I'm a little bit 'frustrated' at the moment.
Did sombody else have similar trouble.

Best regards.

Hallo Klaus,

habe ich auch gehabt. Genau wie bei Eclipse muß ADV vorhergestartet werden. Wenn ich eine Minute oder mehr warte, war der Emulator verfügbar.

I also had. As with Eclipse must be started before ADV. If I wait a minute or more, the emulator was available.

I had a problem with this too but was able to sort it out myself because it was obvious to me that I needed to start the emulator manually. No big deal but the instructions do need to be clearer about this...

I do not go into the emulator. I'm intrigued by my HTC Desire wireless network in the case of a run and is tested directly on the device. I think this is the easiest way. in eclipse and netbeans I do the same.
