Java Question @ShortName and @DesignerName

What do the following messages in the Java class and how I can use them in B4A:

@ShortName( string argument )
@DesignerName( string argument )

Erel hasn't described what @DesignerName is used for.

@DesignerName should not be used in regular libraries.
It is only used in String2 class which is treated specially (without it the string methods were forced to have the same name as the java string methods).
