Ah, Btrieve... I wrote a software for a video rental chain back in the early 1990s - in PowerBASIC for DOS - that also used Btrieve as its database engine.
(Why do I get the feeling that this thread is turning into that Gary Larson cartoon "The Old Spider's Home" from THE FAR SIDE?)
Who has the earliest exposure?
My bid is 1967 - using miniGOL which was a subset of ALGOL - on a computer in the Physics School of Sydney University.
I don't remember what the computer was - I think they had just transitioned to a commercial box from their earlier home grown Silliac
Input was via an old-fashioned typewriter that was jury-rigged to a paper tape punch - which sat in the old valve room of the Silliac.
Every so often the typewriter keys would jam and you had to reach in and drag them apart.
Debugging was literally by cut and splicing the paper tape.

What an extensive list but missing the most important one Java. I've settled on that for now.
but by correcting theses bugs often, they are less painful in time

i don't use CRTL + ALT + DELETE because those are 3 actions. to much!
i just pull the power cord out => 1 action!
